The choir
Gustaf Sjökvist Chamber Choir was founded in 1994 and has since then been a very active part of Swedish musical life.
Since 1996, the choir has regularly appeared at the Music at Siljan Festival, programming oratorios by Bach, Brahms and Verdi, as well as contemporary music by Edlund, Sven-David Sandström, Lidholm and Rautavaara.
The choir has made several recordings over the years, on some occations collaborating with other artists such Edita Gruberova and Håkan Hagegård.

The choir has toured abroad with a cappella programmes many times, giving concerts both in the United States and Taiwan.
